Ngeam Engineering Works Sdn Bhd (NEWSB) is an engineering specialist in designing and building machineries, manufacturing facilities, and plants which solve problems and increasing productivity of manufacturers and related industrial sectors. Our commitment in understanding our customers’ unique business ecosystems and factory operations lead us to be a leader in fertilizer plant and equipment, feedmills plant and equipment, waste management solutions, engineering fabrication, and factory automation. Our track record includes exporting machinery to countries such as Indonesia, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Republic of Congo, Zambia, Philippines, Vietnam, United States of America, France, and many more. The list continues to grow with a vision to expand our global market presence.
In the pursuit of our dedication to quality management and environmental responsibility, we are proud to be accredited with ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Standards and ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System. In 2021, we have also been certified by DOSH (JKKP) as a UPV Unfired Pressure Vessel Manufacturer, reflecting our adherence to stringent safety standards and regulatory compliance.

With this, we have invested a tremendous amount of time and effort in training our engineering specialists and skillful craftsmen. Our advanced fabrication center is equipped with cutting-edge innovation and technologies as the driving force to allow our talents to consistently deliver Engineering Excellence in every project. In 2016, NEWSB was appointed as Hardox Wearparts Center for using genuine Hardox wear plates in conformity with SSAB’s high technical and quality standards.
Simultaneously, NEWSB also focuses on machinery research & development and improvement initiatives for its fabricated process. Investments have been made to advance CNC machinery and operating system to achieve operational excellence in quality, cost efficiency and deliverables to our end users.

Our Story
NEWSB was founded back in 1977 by two brothers – Ngeam Chong Kwai and Ngeam Thong Kwong.

Ever since then, NEWSB has developed a wide range of machinery, including vibrating screens, hammer mills, belt conveyors, chain conveyors, bucket elevators, mixers, crushers, screening machines, granulators, coolers, and dryers for fertilizer plant and feedmill plant. In 1979, the company introduced the first unit of Touch & Go Type, “Grab Unloader”, and created our company logo.
Our company has achieved several significant milestones since then, this includes exporting the first Grab Unloader and supplying NPK Fertilizer Mixing & Batching Plant in 1980, building and supplying the first 120,000 tons per year capacity NPK Fertilizer Plant in 1996 and designing and building a complete integrated Feedmill Processing Plant in 2000.
In the effort to boost operation productivity, NEWSB has invested in CNC Laser Cutting and Waterjet Cutting machines in 2015.
As a company that always strives to stay competitive and achieve Engineering Excellence, we have been recognized with the “Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards 2016” under the category of Product and Service Excellence Award in 2016.
We continue to improve our business and received certification of ISO9001:2015 in 2017.
In 2019, we were also certified as the winner of “Excellent Eagle” during the Golden Eagle Award 2019. These awards and recognitions spelled out NEWSB’s exceptional services and commitment towards quality and excellence.
Solar Panels was installed in 2021 to support a sustainable factory operation. In the same year, we were certified by DOSH (JKKP) as a UPV Unfired Pressure Vessel Manufacturer.
With the continuous effort and development on green initiative, we were certified with ISO14001:2015 in 2022.
